How I teach
Grades matter, and they improve. But the goal is bigger: a student who asks better questions, works through problems on their own, and actually likes the subject.
Interesting before easy
We start with why something works. Once a student cares about the question, the steps stick.
Tools, not just answers
Students learn how to look things up, test ideas and check their own work, so they can keep going without me.
Curiosity is contagious
I still love learning this stuff. Kids notice, and it changes how they see the subject.
What we can work on
- K-8 math
- Number sense, fractions, pre-algebra and the foundations everything else builds on.
- High school math
- Algebra 1 and 2, geometry, precalculus and calculus.

- Physics and chemistry, where math becomes a tool for explaining the world.
